Giorgio Tesi Junior The new Giorgio Tesi Group project to support junior sports of Pistoia


Giorgio Tesi Group, after 5 years as title sponsor with Pistoia Basket 2000, has decided to continue supporting sports with a new initiative aimed exclusively at junior sectors.

 

 

 

 

 

The logo Giorgio Tesi Junior will be on the shirts of more than five hundred young players of the province of Pistoia among basketball, football, and volleyball players.

This year the project involves Pistoia Basket for basketball, Margine Coperta for football, and Blu Volley Quarrata, club that carries out female activities, for volleyball. Each of these sports realities stand out for the excellent results obtained in the last seasons and for the commitment and training of youngsters.

 

Giorgio Tesi Junior project was ideated with the aim of supporting sports in Pistoia and its province, privileging the realities that distinguish themselves for the promotion of sports values and quality in the organisation of the junior sector. The values that the brand Giorgio Tesi Junior expresses are: equality, fairness, respect, solidarity, participation, right to sports, efficiency, and efficacy. Giorgio Tesi Junior acknowledges and supports the sports realities that are identified in the  UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Adolescents and  UNESCO International Charter of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport.

 

Giorgio Tesi Junior is an already existing brand through which the Giorgio Tesi Onlus Foundation, for 4 years, has been promoting the homonymous annual poetry competition for students of the Pistoia primary and middle schools to narrate in verses the sensations and considerations aroused by the environment they live in. Team spirit, sense of belonging, respect, social integration, recognition of merit, fairness, and “healthy” competition. These are only some of the values on which Tesi family has based and managed their company; the same values that are important both in life and sports, especially junior sports, since the young people of today will be the adults of the future.

 

"This project has been intended exclusively to support junior sports. – Says Fabrizio Tesi, legal representative of Giorgio Tesi Group – After 5 years of successes in basketball, we decided to continue with a completely new project, helping those sports clubs that form the future male and female champions. Therefore, Giorgio Tesi Junior, will be a sort of umbrella brand in the world of junior sports, expressing sports, environmental, and green values. In fact, we aim at developing also those positive values that are fundamental in the formation of the personality of young people. We will do all this also through educational events and initiatives having as main theme environment, green, and culture, thanks to professional figures belonging to these sectors. Our objective is to transmit love for this territory and we believe that sports is one of the best vehicles to sensitise the new generations to solidarity, respect of the environment, and cultural values, in the year when Pistoia is the Italian Capital of Culture, also thanks to the editorial experience and support of Naturart and Discover Pistoia. Giorgio Tesi Junior is a project that looks at the future. This year we chose three disciplines, but maybe in the next years it will include also other sports of our territory".
