Giorgio Tesi Group: quality, initiative, and efficiency

The Giorgio Tesi Group, a leading company in the field of ornamental nurseries, was founded by the brothers Giorgio and Tullio Tesi. It is currently managed by their respective sons Claudio, Fabrizio (the current legal representative of the group), Tiziano, and Romeo Tesi. Since the 1980s, this dedicated and motivated company has climbed upward in Italian and European markets until reaching its current status as one of the leading European companies in this sector.
Their production covers over 400 hectares (16 of which are covered by green- and shade houses and over 80 hectares of container fields). Today, the company has more than 200 permanent employees in production and sales, spread across the twelve production nurseries located in Pistoia and at those in Orbetello (Gr), Piadena (Cr) (130 hectares) San Benedetto del Tronto (AP) as well as in Turkey, a strategic location for the Arab and Eastern Europe markets.
The extremely vast assortment of plants – about 500 species are grown – ranges from Piadena’s deciduous trees to conifers, Mediterranean plants, citrus, evergreens, fruit trees, climbers, and topiary, coming in various sizes from small and medium up to unique specimens. This assortment, together with unbeatable prices and timely, fast year-round service, are the three main points on which the Giorgio Tesi Group has based its success. The company exports to forty countries in Europe and beyond, with particular attention paid to the Italian market. Of note, in fact, is the considerable increase in sales in Italy thanks to the Piadena branch with its new cash-and-carry and to the new Mediterranean-plant production companies. It soon becomes clear visiting the company and talking with Fabrizio Tesi, its legal representative, that the Group is a dynamic and efficient organization, with its forward-looking vision of modern business management.
